Love Today

Love Today was released in 1997. It was directed by debutant Balasekaran. This film stars Joseph Vijay and Suvalakshmi.

Ganesh (Vijay) is the son of Government Hospital Doctor Chandrasekar (Raghuvaran). He is a BSc graduate and who is looking for a job. He falls in love with a girl called Sandhya (Suvalakshmi) who claims she would not fall in love with any one. Her objective is to get a gold medal along with her degree. She is the daughter of Vasudevan (Rajan P. Dev) & Krishnaveni. Vasudevan is a rough police inspector and is a Doubting Thomas kind. Ganesh visits the bus stop daily to see Sandhya and to travel in the same bus with her. As he does not know how to approach a girl to express his love, he seeks the help of his friends. They suggest some ideas to Ganesh but they don't work. Sandhya even tells Ganesh openly that she does not like him. Prithi (Manthra) is Sandhya's classmate and is a close friend of one of Ganesh's friends. He meets Prithi and requests her to convey his love to Sandhya. Prithi first refuses but later she agrees to try. But her attempt is of no use. Ganesh never gives up. He continues to try to speak to Sandhya. In the meanwhile, Sandhya's dad Vasudevan comes to know that Ganesh is following his daughter and he beats him up and arrests him. Sandhya gets into trouble too. In an accident, Vijay loses his father. Sandhya then tells him she's in love with him but finally Ganesh refuses her love because he feels he lost too much time following a girl who never will love him truly. He realizes that it was because of her that his father died in the middle of a road and he couldn't even perform his father's last rites. Sandhya insists that she would wait for him at the bus stop the next day, waiting for him, just like he did. But, Ganesh just walks away. The next day, Sandhya is found to be standing at the bus stop, waiting for Ganesh to come. Ganesh meanwhile, takes the recommendation that his father had written for him before his death and goes for his first interview.

Kaalamellam Kaathiruppen (English: I Will Wait Forever) is Tamil film which was released on January 14, 1997 and directed by R. Sundarrajan. The film stars Vijay, Dimple, R. Sundarrajan, Jaisankar, Sri Vidhya, Manivannan, Delhi Ganesh. The music is by Deva.

Kannan (Vijay) is the only son of Jaisankar and Sri Vidya. Since he's rich, Kannan spends a lot of money everyday. Kannan is in charge of arranging the college cultural function. He happens to hear Manimekalai (Dimple) sing in a temple and he asks her to sing in the college function. But she refuses. All of Kannan's attempts to make her sing fails. In that process Kannan falls in love with her. But, Manimekalai hates him. She gets him arrested for eve-teasing and triggered by that, later Kannan tries to marry Manimekalai by force. That fails miserably. To forget all these and to start a new life, Manimekalai goes to Ooty and joins Karan's company. Kannan follows her to Ooty and this time he wants to ask apologies to her. Manimekalai tries to make him leave Ooty. But finally she can't hide herself to love him.

Selva

Selva (Vijay) lives in a colony. He's is the son of lawyer Raghuvaran but he lives separately. Sangeetha is one of the girl in the colony. Meanwhile a minister's daughter moves into the colony. She moves friendly with Selva. Swathe who is in love with Selva mistakes their friendship. Raghuvaran works for a terrorist group who kidnap the minister's daughter. Selva goes to the rescue of the girl. However, Selva kills his father because Raghuvaran was going to kill Swathe. Finally they will come against out of the clutch of the terrorists.

Synopsis

Shiva (Ilayathalapathy Vijay) is a college student who never backs down if he sees anything unjust happening. He and his gang of friends are enjoying their college life. Sneha (Swapna Bedi) has a huge crush on him and follows him with a camera.

He initially tries to push her away from his life. Unable to bear her advances, one day he asks her to strip her clothes off to prove her love for him. He does this to make her go away. However, Sneha tearfully removes her clothes to prove her love towards him. Shiva realizes her true love and both of them get together.

Madhan, his collegemate is a rogue and is a son of a rich politician. He involves in a lot of illegal activities and crosses Shiva in several days. Shiva's close friend had fallen in love with a rich girl. Both of them want to marry, but the girl's father is not willing to agree for their marriage. Shiva goes to the girls house, takes her to the registrar office and gets her married to his friend.

However, Madhan ends up raping the girl with his rogue friends. Shiva tries to get justice legally, bu realizes that it is not possible. Now Shiva must get justice in his own way.

Synopsis

However, when he gives her the duty of a wife, she reveals that she is the real child and only daughter of Robert and Janaki and asks Raja why he is acting as the grandson of Nagesh and Nambiar. Next to his rented house, which he shares with Charlie, there is a ladies hostel which features Anju Aravind. As she and her group were trying to find a good tune to a song for a contest, Raja indirectly helps her and falls in love while she treats him as a good friend. As he was about to notify Anju Aravind, of his love for her, she notifies Raja of her love for Lawrence. Hearing their plan to marry without their parents consent because of the Robert-Janaki problem, Raja decides to pose as the son of the ran away couple. Now, both Raja and Sangeetha carry out this mission and when he is seen helping out the lovers in their ways of marrying, Anju Aravind's father gets notified of this and so the news as fire, gets spread quickly and both families now think they have run away and want to kill the members of the other. Meanwhile, Raja has rejoined the friendship of the aunts and the grandparents so the uncles and the lovers is his main concern. He does this at once in style. After the marriage, the truth of Raja's appearance is revealed, and when he is asked to marry Sangeetha, he replies a "no" because he only loves Anju Aravind and he can't forget her.

Synopsis

Vishnu is a 1995 Tamil movie starring Joseph Vijay, Jaishankar and Sanghavi. The music is composed by Deva. The film is directed by Vijay's father, S. A. Chandrasekar. The film failed to have an impact at the box office.

Vishnu wants to explore the world in spite of his over protective father. He leaves home with a beautiful girl Sanghavi who takes him through a journey to her native and she lift and carry him in her hips throughout the journey and also helps getting a job at an estate, claiming that he is an orphan. The owner of the estate adopts Vishnu as his son. Vishnu falls in love with Vaishnavi. Vijay's adopted father shows him a photograph, and asks him to kill the people in the photo if he really wants to prove his affection. He says he wants them killed because they ruined his family.
Vishnu agrees immediately, but he's shocked to see his own father, Jaishankar, in the photograph. How Vijay solves the mystery forms the climax of the movie.

Synopsis
