Vishnu


Vishnu- S.A.Chandrasekar-Vijay, Sanghavi

Vishnu is a 1995 Tamil movie starring Joseph Vijay, Jaishankar and Sanghavi. The music is composed by Deva. The film is directed by Vijay's father, S. A. Chandrasekar. The film failed to have an impact at the box office.

Vishnu wants to explore the world in spite of his over protective father. He leaves home with a beautiful girl Sanghavi who takes him through a journey to her native and she lift and carry him in her hips throughout the journey and also helps getting a job at an estate, claiming that he is an orphan. The owner of the estate adopts Vishnu as his son. Vishnu falls in love with Vaishnavi. Vijay's adopted father shows him a photograph, and asks him to kill the people in the photo if he really wants to prove his affection. He says he wants them killed because they ruined his family.
Vishnu agrees immediately, but he's shocked to see his own father, Jaishankar, in the photograph. How Vijay solves the mystery forms the climax of the movie.
This was the first film using the song Thottbata rottu mela, sung by Vijay and his mother Shoba.
This film was produced by writer, director, producer veteran M. Basker.
